Welcome back sleuthy people! We’re on Day 5 of our Back To School Series: Paleo Kids Lunchbox Ideas! If you missed our previous posts, check out Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 and Day 4.
Do you have a favorite lunchbox idea yet? If you don’t, you may want to add this to the running!
Here’s my Paleo Kids Lunchbox Idea for Day 5
The Breakdown:
This lunch and snack. Mmmmm mmmmm mmmm. Have mercy! First off, I am using my fabulous U Konserve Stainless Steel Container to hold all of the goodies. On the protein front, I put in three pieces of Applegate Organic Roast Beef. This roast beef is grass fed, gluten and casein free and contains no nitrites or nitrates and it tastes good. It has that good roast beef bite to it which I love.
The veggies today are celery, which my daughter likes plain (who is this kid?) and for the fruit I put in some organic raspberries.
Chips! Who doesn’t love chips with lunch? We yearn for that yummy, salty crunch, don’t we? Jackson’s Honest Sweet Potato Chips are my favorite sweet potato chips. They use organic coconut oil to cook the sweet potatoes which is fabulous since most traditional chips use nasty oils in their manufacturing process. My daughter shares my fondness for these bad boys. Honestly, I have to cap her on these or she would just eat the whole bag! Y’all know from Day 3 about my “good food” hoarding tendencies, so you best be believin’ she ain’t eatin’ a whole bag on my watch!
The snack today is superb. Artisan Tropic delivers again with these Cinnamon Plantain Strips. The ingredients are only plantains, palm oil and natural cinnamon. They have a nice sweet taste and these are my daughter’s favorite snack. She loves sweet things and cinnamon so you know, HOME RUN! I am so grateful for companies like Artisan Tropic that make healthy, clean and yummy products that I feel 100% good about giving my munchkin. I would encourage you to check out their different flavors of cassava and plantain strips…you will not be disappointed.
I put this yummy snack into a Lunchskins Snack Bag. These snack bags are reusable and dishwasher safe, HOLLER! You just turn them inside out and put them on the top rack of your dishwasher. You just need to make sure your kiddos know not to throw these away! We love to cut down on waste and Lunchskins definitely helps us out with that.
We put in fruit infused water into our Klean Kanteen water bottle. We infused the water with pineapple and mint. If you are looking to get your kids to drink more, fruit and herb infused water is the way to go! For more info on the water bottle, check out Day 3 for the low down.
Guess what? We know we gave you a full school week’s worth of lunchbox ideas, but we have one more that we want to share with you. This BONUS Lunchbox will include nuts! If your school allows some nuts at lunch time (the food kind anyway ;)), you’re going to love what Kara has to share.
