Welcome Back to our Back To School Series: Paleo Kids Lunchbox Ideas. If you have missed the first two days, you can check out Day 1 and Day 2 here! Now I know this is “kids” lunchbox series, but my husband and I have totally been eating similar lunches on a regular bases, so if you don’t have kids, these are great ideas for us adult folk too!
Here is my Paleo Kids Lunchbox Idea for Day 3
The Breakdown:
As you can see, I’m using my fabulous U Konserve stainless steel container. Inside today I put in a fried up Applegate Uncured Beef Hot Dog. These dogs are the family faves! They are minimally processed and are gluten and casein free. The only ingredients are beef, water and some spices…SCORE!
I added some organic cucumber slices and olives (a big hit according to my munchkin) and some grapes to round out the veggie and fruit quotient.
The snack….oh this snack. I am a total bad parent and hoard these from my child. I share enough to abate any massive guilt but really, I call dibs on these bad boys! If you’ve never tried Artisan Tropic’s Cassava Sea Salt Strips, you and your kids (if you’re a better parent than me) are missing out! When you first put these in your mouth they taste exactly like a potato chip and then it ends with a slightly sweeter taste like taro. If I didn’t have to get on with this blog post, you’d be hearing me shouting my love for them forever, so I’ll stop…but I won’t stop eating them. EVER!
Lastly, I packed an ice cold water in our Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle. I love this kids sized bottle that is BPA free and free of phthalates and lead. You also want to know what cracks me up about this bottle? There is a great, “chirp free” feature. You know some water bottles make a chirping or whistling sound? This one doesn’t! So, basically these bottles won’t embarrass your kid in class if they need to drink some water!
That is Day 3 folks! We hope you are enjoying this series. Please share this with a mom or dad that could use some added support in this new school year.
