Grateful.
I’m enormously grateful as I write this. Heart full. Spirit satisfied. Amazed at the journey I’ve been on. Yesterday, I was interviewed by Kerry Jeffrey from Emotional Autoimmunity where I discussed the emotional aspects of living with chronic illness for 13 years. Kerry is a counselor, clinical hypnotherapist and Life coach, committed to living the best version of a happy, healthy life with 3 autoimmune diseases; Celiac, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis and Antiphospholipid Syndrome. She interviews folks that have journeyed through chronic illness to get their perspective and what they have learned along that path.
The Interview
Kerry was gracious and kind and asked me such great questions regarding all aspects of chronic illness. We discussed my various illnesses, the biggest challenges they bring in my life, the positive that has come from them, how my relationships have been affected and why I said that my illnesses are the best and worst things that have happened to me and lots more. If you take some time to watch our interview, you will definitely learn more about me and hopefully leave with nuggets of hope in your pocket if you too are suffering with chronic illness. Check out the interview on Kerry’s site, Emotional Autoimmunity.
The Emotional & Spiritual Aspects Of Living With Chronic Illness
This is by far my most favorite topic to write about and talk about. It is what I feel part of my mission is in life. I feel like it is truly needed in our community to keep it real, honest and vulnerable. We don’t have it all together and I don’t care what Facebook or Instagram show. Living with illness is messy. It is hard and it is okay to not be okay even though that is contrary to what society and people tells us.
