My Top 10
Oh boy! I thought naming my Top 10 would be a piece of cake! I realized after compiling my list, that a Top 20 would be a piece of cake but a Top 10 is hard yo! Can I just take you all with me to the Expo next year so you can experience it for yourself? But, alas I got down to it and made my picks. Since we like to cover the gamut of Home, Beauty and Food, here are my faves in those categories this year:
babo Botanicals
I love, love, love me some babo Botanicals! They have baby care, sun care, hair care and skin care products available. They just came our with 3-in-1 wipes and lip tints which I love! Over two thirds of their items rate 1-2 on the EWG Skin Deep Database website.
Siete Foods
Uh Paleo Tortillas and tortilla chips?! Bring them on in mass quantities! We have loved Siete Foods for quite some time and used them in our Paleo Kids Back to School series, but we had never tried their new tortilla chips and holy guacamole! It’s one of those foodie moments where you are in a total state of bliss. My favorite was the Lime flavored tortilla chips but the Sea Salt was not far behind!
Artisana
Why are their organic nut butters head and shoulders above the rest? Like, OMIGOSH! The almond butter, the pecan butter the cashew butter! Oh my! Oh my, is totally right! In my humble opinion their nut butters are the best on the market. I also tried their Raw Coconut Butter which was really good and they also carry chocolate spreads. I dare you to find a dud in their lineup…won’t happen.
Simple Mills
Around these parts we don’t like to call our obsession with Simple Mills an “obsession” but rather a “necessity” in our pantry of goodness. We have not been shy of our love for them, writing about them in our Paleo Kids Back to School post, sharing their Pumpkin Muffins with our homemade caramel sauce as well as their Banana Muffins. If you follow us on social media, you will see us share tons of their products…we may be a little addicted :). They keep coming out with new products and at the Expo we were able to try the Cracked Black Pepper Crackers which have a kick to them and their Chocolate Chips Cookie Mix which is Paleo-friendly (meaning not full blown Paleo).
LunchSkins
LunchSkins…may our hearts be still. They provide reusable sandwich bags and snack bags with multiple purposes. We’ve got lots of love for their products and for these ladies! We loved visiting with them at the Expo and seeing their new gallon size reusable bag, new designs and got our hands on a new product that we can’t tell you about now but will tell you about soon! We have our children use LunchSkins instead of plastic bags for their snacks daily, but we also use them to store our makeup, cell phones and credit cards and my husband uses them for various cords and computer attachments. They are a multi-function win in our homes!
E-cloth
Honestly, there hasn’t been an e-cloth product I’ve met and haven’t liked. We were introduced to e-cloth at last year’s Expo West and have been trying out their products ever since. I feel like if I start talking about why they are so amazing I will never stop! In a nutshell, they provide cleaning cloths which are so powerful that you only need water to clean your entire house. No toxic chemicals and a superior cleaning job. I literally use e-cloth everyday in my home. My latest fave is the e-cloth Range and Stovetop Cloth. They just debuted a line of baby items and pet items as well. Watch out world! E-cloth is taking over!
Cappello’s
Okay. Okay. My mouth just watered a little as I typed Cappello’s. No joke. They have Paleo, Grain-free pasta, pizza and chocolate chip cookies. Dude! Their pasta…off the charts! They make lasagna sheets, fettuccine and gnocchi. Super, crazy good. I will say that even though they have superior products, their online prices are very high. I would suggest looking at their store finder online for a retailer near you where the price would be more palatable.
Hail Merry
Hail Merry dessert is legit! They even won a prestigious NEXTY Award at Expo West for the Best New Sweet or Dessert so it’s not just me people. They be good! They offer Hail Merry cups, bites and tarts depending on your sweet tooth mood. The Chocolate Mint Tart….don’t even get me started! DIVINE! They also re-branded and have a great new look.
Jade Yoga
Where my Yogi’s at? This one is for you, baby! All of Jade’s eco-friendly yoga mats are made with natural rubber and contain no PVC or other synthetic rubbers. Natural rubber is tapped, like maple syrup, from a rubber tree, a sustainable, renewable resource. The natural rubber grips better and has more cushion than any of the synthetic rubbers on the market (PVC, PER, TPE, EVA). It is also better for the earth as it is made sustainably. These mats a very cushiony so it is a great mat if you have joint pain, like me. I also LOVE their ideas for what to do with your old yoga mat.
Native Organics
We loved meeting the founder of Native Organics and her daughters! They have such a great story of how they got into the natural products space. Since returning from the Expo I’ve used their Pet Odor and Stain Remover (thanks to our cat Oliver!) and the Fruit and Veggie Wash. I HIGHLY recommend them both. They have a vast array of natural products in their line up.
I Did it!
So, it was possible to narrow down the field! Hard…uh yeah, but possible. Next year to make it easier on ourselves we may do a top 50. The natural products companies are stepping up their game….and we LOVE it!
