It was a joy and honor to be a part of Expo West. We were exhilarated and exhausted by the experience and are totally sad to have to wait until next year to go back. Even though we experienced hundreds of companies products, there were thousands there! You saw my sisters faves, now here are mine!
Food
Rise Bar Okay, so my sister is a fan girl of Rise Bar. Like major fan girl. I had never had one until I went to the expo. They are soooooooo good! I rarely have any sugar, even natural, so this was a major treat that tasted oh so good. My favorite is the Sunflower Cinnamon. Good job sis for introducing me. Now, why did you wait so long to do so?
Nut Pods This is a great creamer substitute for your coffee that uses almond and coconut milk. I LOVED it! They are very clean (meaning no wonky weird ingredients, fillers or gums), super tasty and even passed the husband test. He does not follow my clean eating ways and he has been using this in his coffee and he says it has good texture and he doesn’t even notice a difference between his regular creamer and this….HUGE compliment.
SeaSnax Admittedly, my family loves us some seaweed. Crazy, right? One great benefit, among the many of seaweed, is that it is a proven anti-inflammatory…SCORE! What I love about SeaSnax is that they have a an option to buy one with lime flavor and that has been a major hit around our house.
Sun Cups Just think of a healthy version of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups but more diverse. They have a sunbutter dark or milk chocolate flavor, mint flavor and a caramel flavor. They are all gluten free, egg free, soy free, peanut free and free of any tree nuts. The real test for these is my husband, the “normal” eater. He LOVES these! His favorites are the caramel and mint. He thinks the mint tastes like an Andes mint and is super smooth.
Suja Juice It’s no joke awesome. They actually won a “Best of the West” Award at the Expo for their Raspberry Pressed Probiotic Water. They have products ranging from pure juices to their probiotic water. My favorite is their Ginger/Lime Probiotic Water. It’s so good for gut health, pure ingredients and just plain fab!
Wedderspoon Manuka Honey Okay just google “health benefits of manuka honey” your mind will be blown!!! Really, totally do it. I’ll wait….CRAZY, right? We have a bottle of this at home to have on hand for all kinds of occasions. This is a major Super Food that I could ramble on and on about forever! I think every household should have this on hand.
In The Press Lounge Casting Our Vote For The Best of The West. Obviously I had to call for backup and for my sister, it was obviously a brain scratcher.
Beauty
100% Pure They have great beauty options that are free of artificial colors, artificial fragrances, synthetic chemical preservatives and all other toxins. We got to test out a lot their products and so far so good. I am dying though to try out their fruit and chocolate pigmented mascara!
Natracare Total props once again to my sis! We met the founder and owner and just soaked up our time with her. I’ve been looking for natural alternatives in the feminine hygiene category and I’ve definitely found my winner.
Redmond Earth Paste, Clay and Bath Salts I have been a long time Redmond user. I use their clay for face masks, to do an armpit detox…you’ll find more about why shortly, and I LOVE Earthpaste in lieu of traditional toothpaste, so does my daughter.
Kids Lick Have you heard how toxic nail polish is? I’ve been looking for an affordable alternative for myself and my daughter who is all about the nail polish – FOR REAL. I think I’ve found a great option for us, although I will need to do more testing of the product.
Fatco (formerly Fatface) OOOOMMMMMGGGGGG So…ummm….well….ummm….I must confess…..aaaaa…My armpits reak! Like major stanky stank! Funny to you? Sure! Totally a bummer for me? Yep! I used their deodorant for 2 days and I didn’t sweat or smell. That’s a miracle folks! I have gone through so many natural deodorants that just didn’t cut it for these pits. I will have to wear it consistently to know for sure if it will work long term, but I’m happy with this promising start.

Molly’s Suds I just did an article about DIY laundry detergent and added my recommendations for non-toxic alternatives….add another one to the list! So proud of this company and the product line they are continuing to develop.
My Natural Toy This is so cool. I say no to corn and sugar on the inside but these products are made from corn and sugar but function like plastic. There are baby plates, forks and a ton of stuff that you cannot believe are toxin free and safe to use in the dishwasher. Game changer if you are a crunchy mama!
Murphy’s Mosquito Sticks This is a great alternative for those common, toxic mosquito repellents. With summer coming up, I think a lot of families can benefit from using this stuff versus the competition.
Sunflower Meadows Herb Farm We had some really interesting conversations with these folks. They take intentional care of producing top notch products. From how they farm to how they process and manufacture. We respect what this company is trying to do and for the herbs, lotions, etc. that they are bringing forth.
Goddess Garden Kids Natural Sunscreen What a great option for non-toxic sunscreen for the kiddos! About 8 years ago, I was searching for non-toxic sunscreen and was left with paying upwards of $40 for sunscreen…sunscreen! PEOPLE! This is a superior product with a great price tag.
